Retrofit of Elazığ Hospital

Scope: The retaining structure holding the soil surrounding the City Hospital in Elazig was designed as groundwork. Some deformations have been observed over time due to the problems that occurred in the application. The solution was made by us with FRP system in order to remove the related deformations. Since the area where the current reinforcement coincides with the space left for the seismic isolation system, the retrofit could not be made with the conventional retaining system. ACI 440 was used in the design.
