Eti Factory Retrofit

Scope: The need to retrofit the reinforced concrete manufacturing building of the factory, separated joints, was felt. In order to reduce the mass of two three-storey buildings, the top floors are demolished and turned into a terrace. Reinforced concrete walls and mantle of columns were chosen as the main method for strengthening the buildings. After core sampling, non-destructive testing and inspection of buildings, shear and bending deficiencies of slabs and beams were eliminated with CFRP. Performance analysis and retrofit projects were done by using Turkish Seismic Design Code 2018 and ACI 440.2R-08.
